I Will Not Repeat the Sins of Others
Belch's ar, you should have known, mena, your days are [numbered].
How often do we live as if our days are without [number]?
We know that Jesus has given us a mission: I want you to go into the ends of the earth making [disciples].
How many days do we live in comfort and pleasure as if that mission has a never-ending time stamp in our [life]?
- What relationships or responsibilities in your life are you treating as if you have unlimited time? How might living with a sense of urgency change the way you invest in them today?
- If you knew you only had a short time left with someone you love, what would you prioritize saying or doing? What's stopping you from doing that now?
Teckel means you are weighed on the scales and found [wanting].
On one side of the scale, you have Belch's ar with all of his power, authority, wealth, accomplishments, but also with his [pride], his idolatry and his sin.
And yet you, his son, Belch's are, have not [humbled] your heart, though you knew all this.
But the God in whose hand is your [breath] and whose are all your ways you have not honored.
- If you were placed on God's divine scale today, what areas of pride or idolatry would tip the balance? What would it look like to humble your heart before Him?
- Reflect on this: God holds your very breath in His hand. How does recognizing His authority over your life change the way you honor Him daily?
Sin is taking what God has set apart for his purposes and using it for your [own].
Every single one of you has been gifted with [talents] and giftings that come directly from God.
The Master returns and he looks at those servants and says, Well done, good and [faithful] servant.
Wickedness is also not taking the things that God has given you and using it for his [purposes].
- What talents or abilities has God given you? Are you using them primarily for your own purposes or for His kingdom? What would it look like to invest them differently?
- Consider one specific way you can use your gifts this week to serve God's purposes—in your workplace, neighborhood, or church. What's one step you can take today?
In the New Testament, what does God call our bodies? The [temple].
Your body is a [temple] of the Holy Spirit of God.
Friend, can I just tell you from the Word of God, it's a big deal to [him].
Whatever money that God has given us is to be used to [glorify] Him and live out the purposes of God.
- How are you stewarding your body—what you consume, how you care for your health, and what you do sexually? Is it honoring to the Lord who calls your body His temple?
- Reflect on your finances. Are you using the money God has entrusted to you for His glory—providing for family, meeting needs, supporting the church, advancing His kingdom?
The finger of God indicates a power that only [God] has.
Jesus uses that direct phrase: The finger of God is at work among [you].
He took upon Himself, your [sin].
Not only will I forgive their sins, but I will give them my perfect [righteousness].
- Have you placed your faith in Jesus, trusting that He took your sin and gave you His righteousness? If not, today is your day of salvation. What's holding you back from surrendering to Him?
- If you've already trusted Christ, where is the Spirit convicting you today—your use of time, body, money, or talents? What specific step of repentance and obedience is God calling you to take?
