Terms

Terms of Service

Effective May 28, 2026

These terms govern your use of Asher. By using Asher, you agree to them. The legal language is real but we've kept it as plain as we can.

What Asher is

Asher is a software service that helps pastors turn a Sunday sermon into a 5-day Bible study for their congregation, distributed via QR code and email.

Beta status

Asher is currently in open beta. This means:

  • It is free to use during the beta period
  • It may have bugs, downtime, or partial outages
  • Features may change as we learn from early users
  • We may discontinue, modify, or charge for the service in the future with reasonable notice

Use it accordingly. Do not bet anything mission-critical on a beta product.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the theological accuracy of any devotional you publish through Asher. The AI drafts content based on the sermon notes you provide. You must review every day of the devotional before publishing. Asher is a tool, not a substitute for pastoral judgment.

You also agree not to:

  • Publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or fraudulent
  • Attempt to access or interfere with other churches' content or data
  • Use Asher's AI generation to consume excessive resources (e.g., scripted generation of thousands of devotionals)
  • Misrepresent yourself as a pastor of a church you do not actually serve

AI disclaimer

The AI that drafts your devotional content is not perfect. It may produce content with theological errors, biblical misquotations, or interpretations you disagree with. The pastor review step exists for exactly this reason. We make no warranty that AI-generated content is theologically sound or factually correct without your review.

Intellectual property

You retain full ownership of the sermon notes you paste into Asher. You also retain ownership of the devotional content as published (the AI-generated days that you reviewed and approved). Asher owns the software, the brand, and the underlying infrastructure.

By publishing a devotional through Asher, you grant us the limited right to display, store, and deliver it to the attendees you intend to reach. That is the entire grant.

Pricing after beta

When Asher moves out of beta, the standard pricing will be $149 per month per church, with a 30-day free trial for new churches. You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

Beta users will receive at least 30 days' notice before any billing begins.

Termination

You can stop using Asher at any time. We can terminate or suspend access if you violate these terms, abuse the service, or use it for unlawful purposes. We will give reasonable notice before terminating except in cases of severe abuse.

Disclaimers

Asher is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that the service will meet your specific theological or pastoral needs. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Founder Builds LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of Asher.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
